11. The right to make the story your own! Viva la headcanon, fanfiction, exegesis, death of the author (although I’d rather it not be considered a death, rather a permutation) hermeneutics, call it what you will: the story belongs to the reader as much as it belongs to the author. 

Oh GOOD ONE. YES. THAT NEEDS TO BE THERE.

I finally finished the Song of Ice and Fire Series!!!

Up to the most recent book, A Dance with Dragons. I actually really enjoyed it…it’s just very long. 5 books all ~1000 pages. And sadly the last 2 books are forthcoming, but no one knows when. :(

There are so many characters I am concerned about. I just want to know they’re ok, but that won’t be for awhile. It really is a great series, but is sad too. Bad things happen to good and bad people. The best way of judging how far someone has gotten in it is to ask them who has died recently.  But still highly recommended.
